Changes due to COVID-19
We regret to inform you about the cancellation of the physical gathering on Fluvial Hydraulics that was planned for 7-10 July, 2020. The prospects for the covid-19 pandemic prohibits meetings like this for a substantial period of time. Given the many uncertainties regarding the duration of travel limitations, postponing RiverFlow2020 by a few months would still have a high risk of cancellation or severely reduced attendance. For the longer term other conferences are already planned, some of which rescheduled and it would be problematic in a practical sense to schedule the conference without interference properly in between the educational activities after summer and beyond.
At this moment we are finalizing the reviewing process of the written contributions submitted for the technical program. With the substantial amount of time that has been put in this process by authors and reviewers, it would be a pity not publishing the proceedings. We therefore would like to make the proceedings available at the originally planned date of the conference. We are sorting out which parts of the conference can be converted into digital versions that will be remotely accessible. Access will be provided after payment of a strongly reduced fee. For those who already registered we will refund the fee and we will soon provide an update on the new registration procedure.
We trust that there will be many future occasions to meet each other in person. For now we wish you all the best and good health and hope that this extraordinary period will soon be over.
